So...once again, Regina Wamba, of Mae I Design, has taken over my life. Her beautiful art has inspired an entire story, which I'm already engrossed in writing! ‪#‎Reginaismymuse‬. I can't wait to share this one with you all!
BLURB: Through space and time, sisters entwined. Lost then found, souls are bound.
Flames licked the hem of my dress as I worked to free my hands from the ropes. Somber faces, etched with malice or fear, looked on as I squirmed against the stake. I refused to close my eyes or scream. I wouldn't give them that. No. I would prove to be as defiant and wild as they deemed me while dragging me from my home.
Kara and Kenna stood hidden at the back of the crowd, silently pleading for me to use my magic to escape. I wanted to, oh how I wanted to, just to see these purists running for the hills. But staring into my sister’s eyes as my legs started to burn, I knew I had to do whatever it took to keep them safe.
I closed my eyes, the chant beginning simple as always, words from the Goddess flowing into my mind. “Come to me, death that be, flames surrounds, peace abounds; flesh to earth, spirit to soar, transport our souls, alive forever more.”

Losing It: A Collection of VCards - M.A. Peart, Stacey Wallace Benefiel, Julie Prestsater, Helen Boswell, Ednah Walters, Kristina Circelli, Heather Hildenbrand, Tamara Rose Blodgett, Julia Crane, Bethany Lopez, Alexia Purdy, Milda Harris, Amy Miles, Tish Thawer, S.M. Boyce, Misty Provencher, Nikki Jefford,

Confession: I admit it, okay!! I love, LOVE! Shocker, I know... who doesn't! But seriously, I'm all about the feels...whether it be a innocent, YA first kiss, or the down and dirty, OMG, kind of hotness, I love it all! And yes, I too have fallen for the occasional book boyfriend. However... my true confession, is that every book boyfriend only reminds me of husband, not the other way around. My hunky hubby is dark and brooding at 6'3", 215 lbs, with broad shoulders and lips and eyes that melt my knees. Yes, it's true...I'm a lucky girl!

Another secret I need to share is that I didn't read much growing up. In fact, I didn't pick up my first romance novel until I was near my thirties...O.o (which I'm now well past!) LOL. With that in mind, I can honestly say my first book boyfriend was Maddox from Gena Showalter's, Lords of the Underworld series. Holy Hannah! The fact that Maddox and my husband shared so many traits, it was easy to fall for him. My second book boyfriend was Rome, from Showalter's Tales of an Extrodinary Girl series. (Apparently, I may also have a small crush on Ms. Showalter herself.) :p

I'm honored to have been a part of the Losing It collection and can't wait to hear what you think! If you enjoy the book, please mention it to your romance reading friends. This is a 2015 limited edition collection. Twenty-two sexy scenes for only $3.99.

Here's an excerpt from The Release of Rae, my story, pulled from the Ovialell series companion short, The Rise of Rae.

Reblogged from Author Brynn Myers

The Life & Death of Jorja Graham by Brynn Myers

The Life & Death of Jorja Graham - Brynn Myers

Once again I had the honor to read Brynn's book as a beta reader. And once again I was blown away by the imagination and detailed writing that Brynn puts into her stories. She never fails to transport me into the world she's created, and in this case, the world was eerie and magical and filled with characters that captured my heart.

I loved the relationship between Jorja and Corbin, as well as her family and friends. The southern traditions and detailed accuracy had me reading with an accent. LOL. I could see the historic plantation and I could hear the slang as only a southern bell could recite it.

What truly captured my mind, and earned this book five stars, however, was the reality of the story. It's true that not all romances have a "happy ending." It's honesty and cutting truths left me a bit sad, yet satisfied and happy with the outcome. Mostly, I was immediately left wanting Brynn to write a book two for Jorja and Corbin.
