The Life & Death of Jorja Graham by Brynn Myers
Once again I had the honor to read Brynn's book as a beta reader. And once again I was blown away by the imagination and detailed writing that Brynn puts into her stories. She never fails to transport me into the world she's created, and in this case, the world was eerie and magical and filled with characters that captured my heart.
I loved the relationship between Jorja and Corbin, as well as her family and friends. The southern traditions and detailed accuracy had me reading with an accent. LOL. I could see the historic plantation and I could hear the slang as only a southern bell could recite it.
What truly captured my mind, and earned this book five stars, however, was the reality of the story. It's true that not all romances have a "happy ending." It's honesty and cutting truths left me a bit sad, yet satisfied and happy with the outcome. Mostly, I was immediately left wanting Brynn to write a book two for Jorja and Corbin.
