It's hard for me to put into words why I love this series so much. I suppose it could be how the author connects me to the characters. I feel their emotions as if they were my own. It could also be the detailed world-building that lets me see exactly the environment in which the characters dwell. Or possibly, it's the staccatic writing style that really seems to work for me. I know some people would describe Hachton's writing style as choppy, but again, I really enjoy it, as I feel it's a true representation of how these characters think and react. But in the end, I suppose it's the originality of the story that really hooks me the most. The Evermores are unique and the story and supporting characters that surround them continues to intrigue me.I can't wait for the next book in this series. Thanks, Rae, for another great read!
